“We’re in the rock and roll hall of fame? That’s f—-n’ crazy and awesome ! While we are very proud of the music we make, we have to acknowledge the inspiration from our families, friends and musicians like the slits, bad brains, x-ray spex, the treacherous three and too many others to possibly name. And most of all, we give thanks to New York City and the world of musical influence it provided for us.”

Foo Fighters Confirm Fall Midwest Dates...

Foo Fighters have confirmed the next run of shows in their ongoing American arena headline run in support of the worldwide #1 album Wasting Light (Roswell/RCA). Pre-sales for this leg, which kicks off September 14 in St. Paul MN and runs through September 26 in East Rutherford NJ, will begin May 18. General on sales follow May 20 with the exception of St. Paul and Columbus which go on sale to the public June 4.

Rise Against and Mariachi el Bronx will be support for the U.S. run.

The September dates expand on the recently announced midwest headline dates beginning May 17 in Tulsa OK and concluding May 26 in Missoula MT. Motorhead and Biffy Clyro provide support on that run, during which the Foos will also drop in for headlining appearances at the Hangout and Sasquatch festivals.

The tour follows in the wake of Foo Fighters' just released seventh album Wasting Light, which is still riding high on the charts after debuting at #1 in a dozen countries. Wasting Light has also generated arguably the best critical notices of the band's 16-year career, including four star lead reviews from Rolling Stone and People, and an A- lead review from Entertainment Weekly that summed up “Here’s the miracle, though: Foo Fighters never feel like a backward-looking band. Light is a muscular rock & roll throwdown, featuring the Foos delivering exactly the kind of catchy, pummeling anthems they’re known for, with total disregard for the whims of the masses.”

More dates will be announced as they are confirmed. For a complete list of current Foo Fighters North American tour dates and ticketing info visit http://tour.foofighters.com/

Sharon Jones Offers Free Rock Hall Show...

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum will welcome Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings for a special FREE concert on the Museum’s Main Stage on Friday, August 13 at 8 p.m.

Although this concert is FREE, a ticket is necessary for entry.
There will be many ways for fans to win tickets to this special concert. Kia Motors promotion teams will be conducting ticket giveaway promotions at the Rock Hall during the Summer in the City concerts on July 14, July 21 and August 11. Tickets are also available online through Daptone Records at www.daptonerecords.com/rockhall and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum’s Facebook page and Twitter page. For complete information on how to obtain tickets, please visit www.rockhall.com/event/sharon-jones.

Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings have truly become renowned thanks to their incredible live show, not to mention their relentless touring. And though it’s certainly no easy task to keep such a vast ensemble on the road, the band continues to pack hundreds of clubs worldwide, from legendary venues like New York’s Apollo Theater, Beacon Theater and Central Park’s SummerStage to their show-stopping sets at Coachella, SXSW, Lollapalooza, Roskilde, Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits and WOMAD.

Currently supporting their fourth album, I Learned the Hard Way, Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings continue to electrify fans, disc jockeys, critics, record collectors, and bloggers the world-over with their authentic, heart-felt sound. The authenticity clearly demonstrated on the band’s three critically-acclaimed previous albums steeped within the gilded and gritty sounds of gospel, soul and funk – Dap Dippin’ (2002), Naturally (2005) and 100 Days, 100 Nights (2007) – captured and released by the independent Daptone Records. Their albums recall an analog era led by iconic studios like those at Motown and Stax Records, and have thrust the 53 year-old Augusta, GA native and crew into the multimedia limelight.

For more information on Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings, visit www.sharonjonesandthedapkings.com.

Jamie Lidell Adds Cleveland Grog Shop Date...

Funky and full of soul, or soulful and full of funk . . . either way, Jamie Lidell will be at The Grog Shop in Cleveland on September 10th.

Review of his latest album, Compass:
“a neo-psychedelic ode, planting romantic avowals amid arid textures.”
- New York Times

"elegantly warped love songs...(a) blend of creamy come-ons and fuzzy beats"
- Rolling Stone

"A beautifully mixed bag...impassioned and lushly arranged" - Esquire

"It's quite a ride' - Uncut 4/5

“Jamie Lidell has shifted boundaries, moved from style to style. On his new album 'Compass' the producer comes closer than ever to defining his multi-faceted sound, to pinning his ideas down onto one disc.” - Clash

'Lidell's previous albums have tried to reconcile his two loves; electronica and classic soul. On Compass, the globe wandering Englishman might have squared the circle'
- Uncut

'A welcome return' - The Guardian

“We’re honoured to hear something as soulful, electically energised, energetic and accessible as this.” 10/10
- iDJ
