Foo Fighters Confirm Fall Midwest Dates...

Foo Fighters have confirmed the next run of shows in their ongoing American arena headline run in support of the worldwide #1 album Wasting Light (Roswell/RCA). Pre-sales for this leg, which kicks off September 14 in St. Paul MN and runs through September 26 in East Rutherford NJ, will begin May 18. General on sales follow May 20 with the exception of St. Paul and Columbus which go on sale to the public June 4.

Rise Against and Mariachi el Bronx will be support for the U.S. run.

The September dates expand on the recently announced midwest headline dates beginning May 17 in Tulsa OK and concluding May 26 in Missoula MT. Motorhead and Biffy Clyro provide support on that run, during which the Foos will also drop in for headlining appearances at the Hangout and Sasquatch festivals.

The tour follows in the wake of Foo Fighters' just released seventh album Wasting Light, which is still riding high on the charts after debuting at #1 in a dozen countries. Wasting Light has also generated arguably the best critical notices of the band's 16-year career, including four star lead reviews from Rolling Stone and People, and an A- lead review from Entertainment Weekly that summed up “Here’s the miracle, though: Foo Fighters never feel like a backward-looking band. Light is a muscular rock & roll throwdown, featuring the Foos delivering exactly the kind of catchy, pummeling anthems they’re known for, with total disregard for the whims of the masses.”

More dates will be announced as they are confirmed. For a complete list of current Foo Fighters North American tour dates and ticketing info visit http://tour.foofighters.com/

Dan Auerbach Announces Winter Tour...

Dan Auerbach — best known as half of The Black Keys—will embark on a 20-date winter tour beginning November 5 in Columbus, OH. The tour, which includes shows at New York City’s Webster Hall, Nashville’s Cannery Ballroom and Philadelphia’s Theater of the Living Arts, arrives on the heels of Auerbach’s critically acclaimed solo debut Keep It Hid, recently released on Nonesuch. The album received wide praise from The New York Times, NPR’s Fresh Air, The New Yorker, Rolling Stone and Pitchfork. Opening for Auerbach on the fall dates are Justin Townes Earle and Jessica Lea Mayfield. Please see below for tour details.

Keep It Hid was produced and engineered by Auerbach at his studio Akron Analog and features him playing a variety of instruments, including drums, guitar, percussion, and keyboards. Many of Auerbach’s friends and family play on the album, including his uncle James Quine, who contributes vocal harmony and electric guitar on the track “Street Walkin.” Other musicians include Jessica Lea Mayfield, who sings on the track “When the Night Comes,” and Bob Cesare, who plays drums on “Whispered Words,” a song originally written by Auerbach’s father. Of the recording process Auerbach states, “I wanted a live, organic sound. Nothing was too plotted or planned, just a lot of spontaneity.” The record was mixed by Auerbach’s good friend Mark Neill at Neill’s Soil of the South studio.
