Kids These Days Headed to Bowling Green...

Kids These Days have been added to the bill for a show at Howard's Club H in Bowling Green, Ohio on Saturday, October 1st. Catch this band before they get too huge!

From KTD's Facebook:
Kids These Days comes from Chicago but their music comes from everywhere. With three horns, a rapper, a blues-rock trio and a female singer, KTD blends a wide range of influences -- hip-hop, jazz, soul, blues, and classic rock -- into a unique, fresh sound that breaks boundaries while honoring America’s musical heritage.

In their first 24 months, they have built a solid following, with over 11,000 fans on Facebook, who turn out for their high-energy, groove-oriented shows at clubs like Reggie’s, Hideout, Subterranean, Lincoln Hall and The Metro.

While still in their teens, they beat out 150 Chicago bands of all-ages to win first place in the Congress Theater’s Next Big Thing battle of the bands in November of 2009.

Ryan Adams To Release New Album...

Set to release his first solo album Ashes & Fire through a new U.S. arrangement with his own PAX-AM label and EMI’s Capitol Records in the U.S. and Canada, Ryan Adams plans to excite fans with arguably the most cohesive and beautiful album of his distinguished career on October 11th.

Ashes & Fire was recorded at Sunset Sound Factory in Hollywood and produced by Glyn Johns, renowned for his work with the likes of The Beatles, Bob Dylan, The Clash, The Who and The Rolling Stones--and whose son Ethan produced previous Ryan Adams albums Heartbreaker, Gold and 29.

The 11-track record includes the slow burning stunner of an opener "Dirty Rain" through the infectious shuffle of the title track and irresistible harmonies of "Lucky Now," to the closing lament of "I Love You But I Don’t Know What To Say.”

“All great records start with great songs," commented Dan McCarroll, President of Capitol and Virgin Records.  "Ashes & Fire will remind you why Ryan Adams is at the front of the line as one of his generation's most gifted artists. “

Ashes & Fire also features guest turns from Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers keyboardist Benmont Tench as well as Norah Jones who contributes piano and backing vocals on several tracks, including the lilting, acoustic overtures of "Come Home," the sumptuous ballad "Save Me" and the heartfelt "Kindness."

Wilco Fan Video Project: (from WilcoWorld.net)
"We've got something new we're gonna try out on the upcoming North American tour. If you live in or around one of the show cities, we want you to help us create a video stage backdrop for the band. We're looking for images shot in the show's town... for instance, the September 13 show in Indianapolis, we're looking for video footage of settings and places that really say something about the area, its people and/or history, geography, whatever. Once you've captured the footage, upload it to the project's Vimeo Group. (You'll need to make sure the footage is downloadable and that you read the Terms.) Your footage just might end up being used in the show."
