13th Annual American Music Masters Series honors Les Paul

Each year the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum’s American Music Masters series celebrates an artist whose career has had a significant influence on the birth and ongoing evolution of rock and roll. The artists selected as American Music Masters are icons in the history of rock and roll whose remarkable lives and artistry have influenced popular music in the United States and beyond. Join us for a class that honors the 2008 American Music Master, Les Paul, a name that will forever be connected to the electric guitar.

A tribute concert will take place on Saturday November 15, at 8 pm at Playhouse Square’s State Theater. Participating artists will be announced in the coming months. Tickets for the tribute concert are $30, $40 and $50. Tickets for the tribute concert go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, September 24 at the Playhouse Square box office (216) 241-6000. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum members will be able to purchase tickets beginning Monday, September 8, at 10 a.m., by calling (216) 515-1939.

I think it's safe to say that without Les Paul, rock n' roll as we know it today wouldn't exist! This concert is going to be really exciting, can't wait to learn who will be part of the lineup. Has anyone actually been to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? I work for Positively Cleveland, and we're getting the word out about the Rock Hall. I highly encourage all music fans to check it out. You can start on our website: http://www.positivelycleveland.com/visiting/things_to_do/cleveland_rocks/rock_hall. There are a lot of awesome upcoming events so it's totally worth looking into! The rest of the city also has many other great destinations, plenty to explore.

Hope I haven't overstepped my bounds by leaving this comment; just working to let people know about what Cleveland has to offer! If you have any questions or concerns feel free to Email me :)
