Thought I would send a little shout out to the Beastie Boys as a way to recognize all they have done for the rap game. This is one of my all time favorite Beastie tracks...and a damn good video to boot. Tonight, Hip Honors on VH1 pays tribute to the Brooklyn trio as well as some other rap royalty, like Afrika Bambaataa and Rakim. Award shows have become stale, but if you need the beat...this presentation always delivers. Scheduled performers include Common, KRS-One, The Roots, Q-Tip and many more.
